 Sometimes things were very tough…some near nervous breakdowns!!
And.. CHIEFBERRY (Tiara) is a hard to please.. lol..but Christine our awesome web mistress has always risen to any challenge..
I have been most impressed with her dedication..and creativity
She has worked on this site with me now for a few months..and never was anything too much.
She was able to bring alive all my various wishes/ideas and instructions..
Last night she basically fell asleep over the PC…
Now …today is THE DAY..
MUSIC HEALS WEBSITE goes LIVE.

Our web mistress is VERY nervous to put it mildly..
We all here at Music Heals,and especially..yours truly..
would like to THANK CHRISTINE so very much..for her hard work.

It seems that the..statistics tell us that there are at any one time up to 20 000 kids/teens with lifethreatening illnesses living in the UK…
This is a massive number..So,I thought to myself..surely it would NOT hurt to add another HELPING HAND..for those in need of..a little kindness..in times of immense trauma and sorrow.. YES iam aware that we have a row of charities concentrating especially on helping young seriously ill patients..and indeed ..from what i have seen
indeed a LOT of good has been done..
Now,you may ask WHY then was I determined to start my OWN CHARITY?

1)because I WILL KNOW EXACTLY how the FUNDS are used,and WHERE  the donations go to.
(my promise will be to PERSONALLY keep an eye on HOW the donations are used/spend!)
2)I have some priorities that i want to address that are NOT covered by any of the existing charities
3)I want to include some ideas that are rather new/different
4)Iam willing to work hard,hope big dream bigger and beg ..and ask..until my knees are black and my voice is hoarse!!!
5)Our mission is,to do our work without spending enormous amounts
of moneys donated..on administration costs..and highflying professional fundraisers/organisers/directors…

I KNOW we do NOt live in a fairytale..sadly..and SOME costs HAVE to be covered and SOME moneys to be paid..but..MY AIM AND MY promise is to keep these to an ABSOLUTE MINIMUM..The donations a charity receives should NEVER be used to..
pay for expensive advertising campaigns..directors salaries..cars…to me this is just WRONG.

 

When I first started to work on this in Winter 2009,Music Heals was just a dream.
In January/February 2010..
I received the support and help from friends..some I only knew from “my computer”:)
I was amazed how dedicated and enthusiastic these young Ladies were..to assist me..to be part of it all..to make a dream reality..
I could have never done all this without the amazing BERRIES(our nickname/as our Charity colours are purple..)
Carol,Suzanne,Christine,Trixie,Jackie..
were ESSENTIAL to get MUSIC HEALS to where we are now.
I can never thank you enough,dear Girls..
In only a few months..
the TEAM has achieved a lot.
We have with the tiredless efforts from our fundraising team received wonderful
gifts and donations from supporters.
And..we have been given the support of
DOUG ALDRICH,(Whitesnake/Burning Rain)who agreed,to become our overall PATRON..

as well as the support of EMILY ALICE OVENDEN(Pythia/Mediaeval Baebes) as a Friend of Music Heals…


We will keep you updated on all things happening around MUSIC HEALS..
